A Personal Letter From Dr. Gabry:
Dear Patients,
After many rewarding years of practicing ophthalmology, the time has come for me to announce my retirement. This a decision I have not made lightly.
It has been one of the greatest privileges of my professional life to care for your vision and eye health and to play a small part in your daily life. From routine eye exams, to complex surgical procedures, each visit reminded me why I chose this field. I appreciate the trust you have placed in me and the gift of helping people see the world more clearly. I am deeply grateful for that trust.
My last day of practice will be Friday June 26th. I am pleased to share that my colleagues in the practice will be taking over your care. I have full confidence in their expertise and dedication, and I know you will be in excellent hands.
Saying goodbye to patients is without question, the hardest part of retirement. I have known many of you for decades, and I have watched families grow as I’ve cared for multiple generations. Those relationships are irreplaceable.
I am looking forward to this new chapter, though, I will miss this work and my interactions with patients and colleagues.
Thank you for the years of loyalty and kindness that made my career so fulfilling.
